Town Meetings
Towns own land. Towns often end up with land or housing they don’t know what to do with when people abandon them or stop paying taxes.
This campaign will organize local Regenerators to research town owned land and petition Town Meetings to use regenerative practices on land they own. One of the key regenerative practices we recommend is to allow Abenaki and other BIPOC to reconnect with the land.
We will offer training on deed research, land use regulations, and community organizing.
Local regenerators can also identify land that has fallen on hard times and work with private landowners to bring it back to health.
